Eight years ago, Dr. Scott began her career as a special education teacher and started working with high school transition students. During her career, families trusted her to assist their students in providing vocational, life, and social skills training they needed to succeed in adult life once they left the educational setting. During this time in public education, she realized that there was a significant need for additional facilities for adults with disabilities. After finishing her doctorate, Dr. Scott began the process of opening up a day habilitation facility and Choice Living Community was founded in December 2019.
Choice Living Community is a transition day habilitation facility that provides assistance with vocational, life, and social skills for adults with moderate to severe disabilities who have aged out of the traditional educational setting.
Our vision includes a full residential facility that will provide an opportunity for adults with disabilities to live as independently as possible.
