Who We Are
Eleven years ago, Dr. Scott began her career as a special education teacher and started working with high school transition students. During her career, families trusted her to assist their students in providing vocational, life, and social skills training they needed to succeed in adult life once they left the educational setting. During this time in public education, she realized that there was a significant need for additional facilities for adults with disabilities. After finishing her doctorate, Dr. Scott began the process of opening up a day habilitation facility and Choice Living Community was founded in December 2019.
Our mission is to provide a day habilitation center that continues to deliver innovative and individualized programs to advance the achievement and knowledge for adults with disabilities in the areas of vocational, life, and social skills.
Our vision includes a full residential facility that will provide an opportunity for adults with disabilities to live in a supported environment.
Your donation helps support adults with disabilities that need a place to attend during the day for continued life skills, social skills, and vocational assistance. Donations go towards running the facility and providing supplies, food, and vocational job coaching.
